  • Scriptural Exegesis and Doctrinal Authority in Late Ming Buddhism: The Śūraṅgama Sūtra, Literati Interpretation, and Huayan Doctrinal Learning

    Open Access•Siyao Wang, Qiyuan Wang•ARTICLE•Religions•2026

During the late Ming period, the Śūraṅgama Sūtra 楞嚴經 became a prominent site for negotiating the relationship between scriptural interpretation, religious practice, and doctrinal authority. This article examines how literati, lay Buddhists, Chan-oriented readers, and scholastic monks participated in the interpretation of the Śūraṅgama Sūtra, and how these interpretive activities reshaped the place of Huayan doctrinal learning (Huayan yixue 華嚴義學) …

  • Profiles of job satisfaction among industrial workers and its association with mental health under the background of Industry 5.0 transformation: A latent profile analysis

Open Access•Shang Gao, Qiyuan Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Background: Job satisfaction is a critical factor influencing workplace efficiency and employee well-being. In the context of Industry 5.0 transformation, understanding the latent profiles of job satisfaction and their relationship with mental health outcomes, such as depression, anxiety, and digital-intelligence job insecurity, is critical for promoting employee well-being and organizational sustainability. This study aims to explore the latent …

  • Improved representation of black carbon mixing structures suggests stronger direct radiative heating

Open Access•Yuanyuan Wang, Zhonghua Zheng et al.•ARTICLE•One Earth•2025

Embedded fraction and coating thickness amplify BC's radiative impact Real mixing structure vs. core-shell model of BC enhances

  • The Sihailongwan Maar Lake, northeastern China as a candidate Global boundary Stratotype Section and Point for the Anthropocene series

    Open Access•Yongming Han, Zhaolong An et al.•ARTICLE•The Anthropocene Review•2023•Cited by: 4•References: 65

Sihailongwan Maar Lake, located in Northeast China, is a candidate Global boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) for demarcation of the Anthropocene. The lake's varved sediments are formed by alternating allogenic atmospheric inputs and authigenic lake processes and store a record of environmental and human impacts at a continental-global scale. Varve counting and radiometric dating provided a precise annual-resolution sediment chronology f…

  • Effects of photochemical oxidation on the mixing state and light absorption of black carbon in the urban atmosphere of China

    Open Access•Qiyuan Wang, Ru‐Jin Huang et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2017

The relationship between the refractory black carbon (rBC) aerosol mixing state and the atmospheric oxidation capacity was investigated to assess the possible influence of oxidants on the particles’ light absorption effects at two large cities in China. The number fraction of thickly-coated rBC particles ( F _rBC ) was positively correlated with a measure of the oxidant concentrations (OX = O _3 + NO _2 ), indicating an enhancement of coated rBC …
