Galen's Aristotelian Definitions
This chapter discusses the Galen's attempts to incorporate Aristotelian definitional theory within his own, Stoic, views of language and definition. He thus tries to combine an Aristotelian search for the essence with the Stoic notion of ennoia, a term linked to language use.
