This is an early report of data from an on-going, repeated, cross-sectional study of a community sample of Glasgow injecting drug users. This paper reports on the British findings from a cross-national study of HIV prevalence and HIV risk behaviour among 1,037 injecting drug users (IDUs) recruited from a variety of treatment- and community-based settings during 1990.
