  • Teledyne Isotopes Radiocarbon Measurements XII

    Open Access•James Buckley, Cynthia Valdes-Pages•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1981•Cited by: 1•References: 13

This date list reports samples completed before 1979. Methods, equipment, and techniques were reported previously (R, 1968, v 10, p 246; R, 1970, v 12, p 87). Age calculations are based on the conventional 14 C half-life of 5568 years. The working laboratory standard is 95% of the NBS oxalic acid standard (SRM 4990). Results are reported in years before 1950 and the standard deviation is based on counting statistics of sample, background, and mod…

  • Isotopes' Radiocarbon Measurements XI

    Open Access•James Buckley•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1976•Cited by: 4•References: 14

This date list includes samples dated from 1968 through 1972. The method of analysis is described in R, 1968, v 10, p 246 and 1970, v 12, p 87. The ages are calculated with the 5568 year half-life without application of any corrections. The NBS oxalic acid standard is used as the modern reference. Errors (± 1 σ) include standard deviations for sample counts, background and modern standard

  • Isotopes' Radiocarbon Measurements X

    Open Access•James Buckley, Teledyne Isotopes•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1973•Cited by: 2•References: 11

The measurements presented below were made during 1970–71 by techniques described in R., 1968, v. 10, p. 246, and 1970, v. 12, p. 87. Errors associated with the de Vries effect and the uncertainty of the half-life are not included. In November 1971 a new low level, quartz-lined 1/2L counter designed by M. Stuiver was put into operation. It has allowed routine measurements with the samples representing 500mg to 1g pure carbon

  • Isotopes' Radiocarbon Measurements IX

    Open Access•James Buckley, Eric H Willis•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1972•Cited by: 2•References: 25

The measurements presented in this date list were made in the Radiocarbon Dating Laboratory at Teledyne Isotopes during 1969–70. Samples were analyzed by techniques described in R., 1968, v. 10, p. 246. Methods and references to sample pretreatment are provided in R., 1970, v. 12, p. 87. Errors associated with the age determinations are calculated by combining standard deviations from oxalic acid standard, background, and actual sample data. Samp…
