  • The educational effectiveness in flexible bronchoscopic intubation training using three-dimensional printed difficult airway models for anaesthesia residents

    Open Access•Chen-Tse Lee, Kuang-Fang Lin et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Medical Education•2026

BACKGROUND: Flexible bronchoscopic intubation (FBI) is a vital skill for anaesthesiologists managing difficult airways. Traditional training models often fail to replicate real difficult airway scenarios, limiting their educational value. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of three-dimensional (3D) printed difficult airway models, developed from patient CT/MRI images, in improving FBI skills among anaesthesia residents compared to conve…

  • Associations between literacy and attitudes toward artificial intelligence–assisted medical consultations

    Open Access•Enoch Yi-No Kang, Duan-Rung Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Computers in Human Behavior•2023

  • The Effects of Lighting Problems on Eye Symptoms among Cleanroom Microscope Workers

    Open Access•Kuan‐Han Lin, Chien‐Chia Su et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2019

The visual health of microscope workers is an important occupational health concern, and a previous study suggested an association between lighting problems (e.g., flashing light, insufficient lighting) and eye symptoms among cleanroom workers in the electronics industry. This study aimed to explore the association between eye symptoms and lighting problems, as well as light-related counteracting behaviors among microscope workers in the cleanroo…

  • The relationships between the medical learners’ motivations and strategies to learning medicine and learning outcomes

    Open Access•Jyh‐Chong Liang, Jyh-Chong Liang et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Education Online•2018

This study represents the first report of the correlation between house officers' ALM and learning outcomes. House officers with deep strategies were more likely to have better learning outcomes. In particular, house officers with a surface motive to learning medicine, i.e., aiming for qualification, were surprisingly correlated with better learning outcomes
