  • ‘The courtrooms of the working class are the streets’: Demonstrations during the ‘Great Communist Trial of 1925’

    Nathan Moore•ARTICLE•Twentieth Century Communism•2026

This article seeks to fill in a missing piece in the scholarship on ‘The Great Communist Trial of 1925’ in London. Surprisingly, there has only been one substantial study of the trial, by K.D. Ewing and C.A. Gearty in 2000. While their work presents a fascinating study of the legal side of the trial, there is little mention of the widespread pro-communist demonstrations that were taking over London’s streets and parks. This article will present t…

Kharid Mwakoba, Edmund B Mabhuye et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2024

Worldwide, there is conversion of natural habitats to other land cover types. These are explained by changes in land use and climate change. In Tanzania, environmental degradation happens also within and around protected areas. To mitigate the effects, wildlife management areas (WMAs) surrounding the borders of protected areas in Tanzania have been promoted. They are based on the concept of community based natural resources management (CBNRM). Th…

  • Development and Structure of an Accurate Machine Learning Algorithm to Predict Inpatient Mortality and Hospice Outcomes in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 Era

    Open Access•Stephen Chi, Aixia Guo et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Care•2022•References: 38

BACKGROUND: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has challenged the accuracy and racial biases present in traditional mortality scores. An accurate prognostic model that can be applied to hospitalized patients irrespective of race or COVID-19 status may benefit patient care. RESEARCH DESIGN: This cohort study utilized historical and ongoing electronic health record features to develop and validate a deep-learning model applied on the …

Despite more than a century of control and eradication efforts, the fly remains widely distributed across Africa and coextensive with other prevalent diseases. Control and planning are hampered by spatially and temporally variant vector distributions, ecologically irrelevant boundaries, and neglect. Tsetse are particularly well suited to move into previously disease-free area…

  • Blind Stuttering: Diagrammatic City

Anne Bottomley, Nathan Moore•ARTICLE•Griffith Law Review•2008

This paper addresses emerging conventions and alternative potentials in the connections, scholarly and otherwise, being developed between law and city. To say 'between' is already inaccurate, because we utilise the concept of the diagram to think law and city as a singular, yet multiple, folding. We take on two problems as a consequence: how law and city become established, and the procedures through which they appear as perspectives upon each ot…
