  • Understanding implementation, adoption, and acceptability of the WHO package of essential noncommunicable (PEN) disease interventions in Fiji

Open Access•Bindu Patel, Devina Nand et al.•ARTICLE•PLOS Global Public Health•2025

The Package of Essential Noncommunicable (PEN) disease interventions in response to the high prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes was implemented in Fiji commencing in 2012. This study aimed to understand implementation outcomes, and its contextual influences. Semi-structured interviews with health workers and patients across Fiji was conducted. Thematic analysis was mapped to the health system building blocks to understand PEN serv…

  • An evaluation of the site specificity of soil elemental signatures for identifying and interpreting former functional areas

    Open Access•Clare Wilson, C A Wilson et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science•2009•Cited by: 28•References: 14

  • Lead Isotope Ratios as a Means of Sourcing Anthropogenic Lead in Archaeological Soils

    Open Access•Clare Wilson, C A Wilson et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2006•Cited by: 3•References: 27

Results from soil chemical analysis have demonstrated enhanced concentrations of lead (Pb) associated with archaeological sites. However, interpretation of these Pb concentrations is difficult because of the multitude of possible Pb sources. This pilot study of an abandoned croft in Shetland suggests that Pb isotope ratios have the potential to identify sources of anthropogenic Pb. The results highlight two different Pb associations. The first in…
