  • Fixed Effects Estimation of Spatial Panel Model with Missing Responses

Xingmin Meng, Xiaoyu Meng et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Business and Economic…•2026

We consider estimation and inferences for general spatial panel data models with randomly missing observations on responses. It allows for unobserved spatiotemporal heterogeneity, time-varying endogenous and contextual spatial interactions, time-varying cross-sectional error dependence, and serial correlation. A general M-estimation method is proposed for model estimation and a novel corrected plug-in method is proposed for model inference. Both …

  • Exploring disaster ontologies from Chinese and Western perspectives

Open Access•Susie Goodall, Yajun Li et al.•ARTICLE•Disaster Prevention and…•2021

Purpose This paper explores ontological assumptions of disasters and introduces some concepts from Chinese disaster scholarship. The authors suggest an approach to explore and engage with different ontologies of disaster without direct comparison, that can further interdisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration. Design/methodology/approach By reviewing the academic literature and focussing on two recent key translational texts by Chinese schol…
