This article proposes a posthumanist reading of the voyage in Lovecraft’s short story “The White Ship.” The lighthouse symbolizes anthropocentrism, but the nautical voyage, as a narrative disruption, dismantles the monopoly of anthropocentrism, and inserts the narrator into a posthumanist world.
