Social identity development in transnational marriages of international students in China
In recent years, the increasing trend of transnational marriages between international students in China and Chinese nationals has provided unique insights into Chinese society. This paper explores how these unions contribute to the development of social identities. Data was collected through participant observation and in-depth interviews with 15 heterosexual couples. This study explores the marginalization of a poor fishing community in Gwadar, Pakistan.
