  • Zhigancao decoction ameliorates ischemic heart failure-related ventricular arrhythmias through attenuation of transforming growth factor-β/Smad-associated myocardial fibrosis

Open Access•Xuanyang Wang, Luye Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

  • Returns to Political Contributions in Local Housing Markets

Rui Yu•ARTICLE•The Review of Economics and…•2026

This paper examines how politically connected firms shape housing supply in U.S. cities. Using new data on campaign donations to U.S. mayors and a regression discontinuity design, I present three findings. First, developers connected to the mayor sell more new housing units. Second, more sales of new housing by connected developers coincide with higher local housing supply: cities where mayors received more developer donations issue nearly 70 per…

  • Do gender differences affect the sustainable intensification of cultivated land use among farming households?--evidence from Shenyang, China

Open Access•Xiao Lyu, Yuan Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Rural Studies•2026

  • Efficacy and safety evaluation of Traditional Chinese Medicine formulations in treating Graves' Disease by Improving immune function: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Open Access•Shao-sen Li, Siwei Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

  • Comparative efficacy and safety of Chinese patent medicines in coronary heart disease patients after percutaneous coronary intervention: A systematic review and network meta-analysis

  • Decreased low-frequency amplitude of the right caudate nucleus in patients with chronic schizophrenia treated with risperidone combined with clozapine

Open Access•Xinyue Chen, Lixing Lei et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2025

This exploratory analysis observed a more pronounced decrease in right caudate nucleus ALFF in the combination therapy group compared to the risperidone monotherapy group. The observed differences in neural activity patterns provide preliminary neuroimaging clues suggesting potential distinct neural effects between long-term monotherapy and combination therapy in chronic schizophrenia, and may offer new directions for exploring neuroimaging expla…

Open Access•Rihong Zhao, Xiping Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

  • Technology Licensing Versus Cannibalization, and Consumers' Welfare in Vertical Product Quality Market

    Open Access•Rui Yu, Leonard F S Wang et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Economics and…•2025•References: 23

This paper investigates the strategy choice of a high‐quality firm confronted with the entry of a low‐quality competitor in vertical product‐quality difference markets. We find that due to asymmetric market power, the high‐quality firm may prefer quality licensing over cannibalization as its optimal strategy. Fixed‐fee licensing contract has the potential to enhance consumer surplus and boost the profits of both firms, making it a potentially opt…

  • A seroepidemiological survey of adenovirus type 7 circulation among healthy adults in China and in Sierra Leone, West Africa

Open Access•Busen Wang, Jianhua Li et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

Adenovirus type 7 (HAdV7) is one of the most pathogenic human adenoviruses (HAdVs) and can cause severe illness and even death, particularly in people with weakened immune systems. Many countries worldwide have experienced epidemics of this highly contagious pathogen, including China and Sierra Leone; however, studies describing the seroprevalence of anti-HAdV7 neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) are still lacking. Herein, we established an efficient …

    Open Access•Pooyan Doozandeh, Limeng Cui et al.•ARTICLE•AI & Society•2023

  • Identifying Anthropogenic Sources of Heavy Metals in Alpine Peatlands over the Past 150 Years: Examples from Typical Peatlands in Altay Mountains, Northwest China

Open Access•Nana Luo, Rui Yu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2023

Alpine mountain peatlands are valuable archives of climatic and anthropogenic impact. However, the impacts of human activities on the Altay peatlands are poorly documented. Therefore, studying heavy metal (HM) concentrations, evaluating HM pollution levels, and identifying the sources in the Altay Mountain peatlands are crucial for revealing the intensity of human activities. The present study was performed on two peatland profiles: Jiadengyu (JD…

  • Microseismic Precursors of Coal Mine Water Inrush Characterized by Different Waveforms Manifest as Dry to Wet Fracturing

Open Access•Rui Yu, Jiawei Qian et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Microseismic monitoring systems have been widely installed to monitor potential water hazards in limestone of the coal floor. The temporal and spatial distribution of rock fracture-induced microseismic events can be used as early warning indicators of potential water inrush from the coal floor. We established a microseismic monitoring system in the working face of Wangjialing coal mine. Besides traditional fluid-independent rock fracture-induced …

  • Effects of Relevance and Congruity on Survival Advantage of Memory: Effects of Relevance and Congruity on Survival Advantage of Memory

Weibin Mao, Rui Yu et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2013
