Toward a Model Predicting Employment for the Puerto Rican Youth Segment
This study, using the maximum likelihood method, investigates the predictors of employment for Puerto Rican youth, ages 15–29. The results suggest that older and more educated workers are more likely to be employed. In addition, the results show that civil status, unemployment spells, spells out of the labor force, and gender are significant determinants of employment.
