Development and validation of a prediction model for rehospitalization among people with schizophrenia discharged from acute inpatient care
The model showed moderate discrimination of readmission after discharge. Carefully defining a research question by seeking needs among the population with chronic schizophrenia with multiple episodes may be key to building a useful model
Perceptual organization of motions in pigeons ( Columba livia ) 1
We investigated whether pigeons perceived relative motion of more than one object. We trained pigeons to match a white target dot moving vertically at a constant speed to one color and the same dot moving diagonally to another. In Experiment 1, we presented an additional yellow dot (accompanying dot) moving horizontally near the target. We hypothesized that the pigeons would match the diagonal motion to the color for “vertical motion” and vice ve…

Perception of Object Unity in a Chimpanzee ( Pan troglodytes )
Perception of object unity was studied in an 18‐year‐old female chimpanzee ( Pan troglodytes ) using a two‐choice delayed matching‐to‐sample task. The subject was trained with two rod‐shaped figures which were exactly identical except that one of them had a small gap at its center. After mastering this baseline task, she was shown the figure with its center occluded by a colored rectangle. We examined the perception of the subject's matching resp…
