The mediating role of vascular age in the association between blood metals and atherosclerosis from Manganese-exposed workers healthy cohort
The occurrence and development of atherosclerosis are fundamentally linked to the aging of blood vessels. Previous researches have found that exposure to metals in the environment is linked to atherosclerosis, yet the underlying biological mechanism remains unclear. Twelve blood metals, vascular age and brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) were quantified among the 431 individuals involved in Manganese-exposed workers healthy cohort in 2023…
The association between type 2 diabetes and asthma incidence: A longitudinal analysis considering genetic susceptibility
T2D is associated with an increased risk of developing asthma, irrespective of genetic susceptibility. These findings underscore the importance of incorporating glucose regulation strategies into asthma prevention efforts

Structural transition of parenthood among Chinese nulliparous couples with planned pregnancies, 2013–2019
Structural postponement of parenthood with demographic and regional heterogenicities was observed among Chinese nulliparous couples with planned pregnancies during 2013-2019. Inclusive and comprehensive parenting support should be developed and implemented in mainland China to minimize the negative health effects arising from the postponement, especially for couples without higher education and living in new first/second-tier cities or the northe…
Residents’ acceptance of using desalinated water in China based on the theory of planned behaviour (TPB)
Influence of Chinese National Centralized Drug Procurement on the price of policy-related drugs: An interrupted time series analysis
These findings indicate that the price behavior of pharmaceutical enterprises changed under NCDP policy, while the price linkage effect is still limited. It is necessary to further expand the scope of centralized purchased drugs and strengthen the monitoring of related drugs regarding price change and consumption structure

Chinese adult residents experienced poor diet-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. Rural people had significantly worse diet conditions than urban residents. Better diet-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors were associated with higher self-rated health in Chinese adult residents
A geographical approach to trust in tourism
Within tourism research, trust has largely been conceptualised from psychological perspectives, allowing insights into the mechanisms through which resident/stakeholder relations generate trust. Whilst this work is valuable in understanding dynamics of trust relations, such focus has meant less attention and has been given to the ways space influences trust in tourism contexts. Thus, a geographical approach is put forth to understanding trust in …
Historicizing Martial Arts Cinema in Postcolonial Hong Kong: The Ip Man Narratives
The surge of Hong Kong martial arts films in the new millennium transformed the classic genre with a keen consciousness of history. Based loosely on the life experiences of the Cantonese master Ip Man (1893Man ( -1972)), Ip Man (Yip, 2008) and The Grandmaster (Wong, 2013) utilize the genre to examine the dynamics between Hong Kong and mainland China by integrating the personal with the national. Against the shifting industrial and cultural orient…

Reform of Secondary Education for the Equality of Educational Opportunities
In the sociology of education, the issue of "equal educational opportunity" has always been a focal point. Not only do views differ from scholar to scholar, but the term itself is often closely related to the spatial-time condition of the individual. Basically, the concept of equal educational opportunity has developed for a long time in such societies as Great Britain and the United States (Yang Ying 1988, 16-22). Its intention has also experien…
