  • From Subliminality, to the Unconscious Mind

Open Access•Myron Tsikandilakis, Persefoni Bali et al.•ARTICLE•Integrative Psychological and…•2026•References: 141

In previous works, we provided empirical evidence and the theoretical foundations for a conceptual dissociation between subliminality, such as purported emotional responses to invisible-imperceptible elicitors, and the intelligent workings of the notion of an unconscious mind, such as involuntary and automatic physiological experiences and behavioural patterns that precede but eventually interact with conscious awareness and evaluation. • A Re-Exploration of our Unconscious

    Open Access•Myron Tsikandilakis, Persefoni Bali et al.•ARTICLE•Integrative Psychological and…•2025•Cited by: 1•References: 144

The theoretical …

  • “The many faces of sorrow”

Open Access•Myron Tsikandilakis, Persefoni Bali et al.•ARTICLE•Current Psychology•2024

In the current set of studies, we explored this hypothesis. In a first stage, part…

  • Cinéma-monde and subtitling

    Francesca Leveridge, Pierre-Alexis Mével•ARTICLE•Journal of Romance Studies•2023

This article examines the relationship between the notions of cinéma-monde and translation, with a particular focus on subtitling. The article provides a discussion of the semionarrative nature of subtitles specifically in the context of cinéma-monde, argues that subtitled films constitute hybrid spaces where languages come into contact, and that through this intermingling produce a text that is more than the sum of its parts. Subtitles open up s…
