Reconceptualization of Dark Personality: Towards a New Model Without Theoretical Overlap
Dark personality consists of an association of various socially aversive traits: psychopathy, Machiavellianism, narcissism, etc. Although there are several models for its evaluation, the traits they encompass overlap in content. After a review of the literature and th…

Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, as well as reliability assessments using Classical Test…
General versus domain‐specific grit in the work context
Researchers have questioned whether grit should be conceptualized and measured as a global (i.e., domain‐general) or domain‐specific construct. Although evidence is beginning to appear that grit in educational and sport contexts may be measured as domain‐specific, it has not yet been explored in the organizational context. The objective of this research was to study the psychometric properties of grit as domain‐specific for subsequently analyzing…
The relationship between climate change anxiety and psychotic experiences is mediated by death anxiety
BACKGROUND: As climate change persists, accelerates, and intensifies, and since mitigating factors are absent, mental health impacts are expected to follow the same patterns. Therefore, it appears of utmost importance to deepen and broaden the knowledge and understanding of how and through which mechanisms climate change anxiety (CCA) may interplay with mental health outcomes. Based on the stress-vulnerability model of psychosis, the present stud…

Valuing conservation and socio-environmental services on an Amazon frontier: The Extractive Reserves of the Terra do Meio
In the Brazilian Amazon, forest conservation has relied on the presence of 'traditional communities' and Indigenous peoples to secure legally demarcated protected areas from deforestation and biodiversity degradation.
