This article explores the perceptions of Black communities on the intersection between intimate partner violence, mental health, and intimate partner homicide. Black women face unique circumstances both individualized to the survivor and connected to the broader community. During the recent Supreme Court nominee hearings, there was a groundswell of sexual assault survivors who converged on the U.S. Capitol to enact their civic duty and to advocate against the nomination. This article examines findings from three focus groups conducted about resolving ethical dilemmas in the area of domestic violence. The study's findings point to the need to increase content on domestic violence throughout the social work curriculum and provide educational opportunities for field instructors and local professionals.
