Patriarchy in the Balkans
The article deals with the history, distribution and ideology of Balkan patriarchy; the Balkan agnatic kinship system; and with the most significant patriarchal family structures. While there is considerable use of computing within anthropology, the potential for a true anthropological computing remains largely unfulfilled. Cyclical and linear time perspectives on family household structures are defined. They are utilized in a case study of the father-son dyad in a central Ser bian village over the past 150 years.
