    This paper examines the effectiveness of a cooperative police‐citizen effort to eradicate open‐air drug markets in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama. Using calls‐for‐service data, the study found that calls increased during initial efforts to organize citizen cooperation.
