  • The strategy and environmental significance of Neolithic subsistence in the Mu Us Desert, China

Open Access•Xiaokang Liu, Ruijie Lu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2021

  • Holocene aeolian activity in the Ganzihe sandy land, Qinghai Lake basin

Open Access•Lindong Wang, Ruijie Lu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2021

  • A new find of macrofossils of Picea crassifolia Kom. in early–middle Holocene sediments of the Qinghai Lake basin and its paleoenvironmental significance

Open Access•Ruijie Lu, Xiaokang Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary Research•2018

Here we report a new find of abundant woody debris and cones in stratum of two sections located to the east of the Qinghai Lake basin in China. Analysis of the anatomical structure of the wood and cones confirmed that they are Picea crassifolia Kom. The results of accelerator mass spectrometry 14 C dating indicate that the buried Qinghai spruce grew during 9.7–4.2 ka, and the ages of the large trunks or branches are mainly concentrated within the…

  • Spatiotemporal variations in extreme precipitation and their potential driving factors in non-monsoon regions of China during 1961–2017

Open Access•Zhiyong Ding, Ruijie Lu et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2018

Extreme precipitation events affect the ecological environment and are also important for the sustainable development of regional socioeconomics. Although there are some local studies on extreme precipitation events in which the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of extreme precipitation events in non-monsoon regions (NMRs) are systematically assessed, detailed study on the driving mechanisms of variation are becoming increasingly imp…

  • Holocene water-level changes inferred from a section of fluvio-lacustrine sediments in the southeastern Mu Us Desert, China

Open Access•Xiaokang Liu, Ruijie Lu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2018
