  • Adolescents' attitudes to risk and their employment sector choices in adulthood: Evidence from longitudinal data

    Yen‐ling Lin, Yen-Ling Lin•ARTICLE•Acta Oeconomica•2020

Empirical data was obtained from longitudinal data, and a logit model was applied to estimate the effects of the three-dimensi…

  • An Assessment of Factors Related to Ocean Literacy Based on Gender-Invariance Measurement

    Open Access•Liang-Ting Tsai, Yen‐ling Lin et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2019

This study sought to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how the factors of parental education level and student attitude toward the ocean influence the ocean literacy of students in Taiwan after establishing measurement invariance across genders. The analyzed data were collected from self-reported questionnaires filled out by students aged 16-18 years old. The students' ocean literacy was used as the outcome variable, while parental educa…

  • Birth Spacing and Women’s Labor Supply: An Empirical Analysis

    Open Access•Yen‐ling Lin, Yen-Ling Lin•ARTICLE•Asian Women•2015

This study investigates the relationship between birth spacing and women’s labor supply. With the increase in marriage age, women have less time to become pregnant. With longer birth spacing, the number of births becomes fewer. This study uses multiyear cross-sectional data and 3-stage regressions to examine the effects between birth spacing and women’s labor supply. The empirical results reveal that longer birth spacing has a nonnegative impact …
