Transculturalismul și interculturalismul, itinerare social-economice (ne)viabile pentru egocentrism
We live in a world where economic and social change often becomes routine, and restoring social order is increasingly difficult. It is a world that is constantly changing – and yet, as humanity, we seem to have limits about always evolving in the right and / or correct direction. Why? Such a question (only seemingly simple) requires nuanced answers: (i) As time passes (as strange as it may seem), we become more selfish, and we want much more than…
Loialitatea ca autenticitate social-culturală și economică

This article aims to identify if belonging to one side or another of the former Hapsburg Empire's border matters in relation to migration intentions. Based on a survey of 3,051 students enrolled at three Romanian universities, and using geo‐referencing, data mining tools, logistic regressions and prediction nomograms, we found that students who have their homes in different parts, depending on this historical border, manifest different sensitivit…
Understanding the Political PNR Debate in Europe
In this article, the debate on passenger name records (PNRs) in European politics will be perceived from a discourse analytical perspective. After the 9/11 attacks, the US government required PNR from aircraft passengers travelling from or to the USA. This, and the negotiations of the European Commission with the USA, led to heated debates in the European political arena. The PNR debate was pursued as part of a broader privacy and security discou…
