Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals Through Green Universities
Universities are being seen more widely as key institutional actors in delivering on the SDGs by providing students with sustainability information, values and behaviour. The expansion of green university initiatives in Thailand has been seen due to rising environmental awareness and a national pledge towards sustainability. But little empirical attention provided to how institutional sustainability initiatives affect student sustainability-relat…
Is there differential engagement in urban flooding prevention in Detroit
Urban flooding is a matter of pressing concern in the city of Detroit. The increase in precipitation in recent years, together with the city’s aging infrastructure put many residents at risk of financial losses, displacement, and detrimental health outcomes. The current study aims to identify potential determinants of residents’ engagement or a lack thereof in flood prevention. The study found that the extent of flooding that residents had previo…
An attachment perspective on human-equine relationships
This research aimed to develop and validate the Human-Equine Attachment Questionnaire (HEAQ), a self-report measure designed to assess secure, insecure-anxious, and insecure-avoidant dimensions of the human-equine bond. In Study 1, an initial pool of items was refined based on a systematic review of existing attachment scales, expert feedback, and psychometric analyses. A 24-item version of the HEAQ was developed, demonstrating a three-factor mod…
GIS multi-threat models for agricultural land in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (France). A methodology of composite indicators to support targeted policies
Food sovereignty is yet again a global and local priority. Nevertheless, the useful agricultural area continues to decrease. Land take is leading to increasing pressure on farmland, which is threatened by different phenomena - such as natural risks and demographic dynamics-. Farmland is therefore threatened by a number of different factors. A multi-criteria approach is needed to consider many factors and their interactions. Nevertheless, scientif…
Teacher readiness for teacher leadership competences
In this time of ambiguity, change, and conflict, integrating teacher leadership into initial teacher education (ITE) programs is crucial. However, complexities exist regarding ITE quality globally and in Vietnam specifically. This study explores the perceptions of different ITE stakeholders in Vietnam towards teacher leadership and factors that impact prospective teachers’ preparedness for teacher leadership based on the Teacher Leadership Model …

Navigating through Political Risk in Vietnam
This paper investigates the effect of political risk on corporate cash holdings in Vietnam from 2009 to 2018. We show that political risk is positively associated with cash holdings. Our findings are robust to other advanced estimation methods when alternative measures of political risk are considered and after addressing endogeneity caveats by two-stage least square estimation. Further analyses reveal that the positive impact of political risk o…
Two-Part Models for Father–Child Relationship Variables
Parent-child relationship variables are often measured using a two-part approach. For example, when assessing the warmth of the father-child relationship, a child is first asked if they have contact with their father; if so, the level of warmth they feel toward him is ascertained. In this setting, data on the warmth measure is missing for children without contact with their father, and such missing data can pose a significant methodological and s…

This paper examines the effects of innovation performance and government support schemes on cost efficiency of Vietnamese small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Financial and technical assistances are two different public instruments used to correct market failure and facilitate efficient innovation through lowering the research and development (R&D) expenditures. Although large and small firms innovate in different ways, so far limited empirical e…

Traumatic brain injury
Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) is a graded sequence of injuries, which is clinically defined based on subjective symptoms observed by clinicians and/or those reported by patients. Much of the focus on research and prevention of mTBI has been on professional or collegiate-level athletes, despite children and young teenagers being at greatest risk for mTBI. Further, continued involvement in sports across the lifespan, increases the likelihood t…
