Open Access•Khadejah F Mahmoud, Jian Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Nursing Education•2024

Background: An accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program was introduced in an effort to reduce the nursing shortage in response to the growing health demands. Nursing educators strive to examine factors that promote students' success in passing the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on their first attempt. • Racial Disparities in Chronic Conditions Outcomes in Primary Care Settings

    Open Access•Grant R Martsolf, D Kim et al.•ARTICLE•INQUIRY The Journal of Health…•2024

To examine racial/ethnic disparities in chronic condition outcomes in primary care and determine if they are due to between- versus withi…

  • Cardiorespiratory fitness and incident metabolic syndrome in middle-aged Korean men

Open Access•Sae Young Jae, Kevin S Heffernan et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2013

This study investigated the relationship of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) with incident metabolic syndrome in 810 middle aged Korean men. All subjects were free of metabolic syndrome at baseline examination. The metabolic syndrome was defined by NCEP criteria and CRF was directly measured by peak oxygen uptake during a treadmill test. During an average of 3.3 years of follow-up, 155 (19.1%) men developed the metabolic syndrome. The incidence of…
