The subject of the study is the zoonymic vocabulary in the language of forest Yukaghirs. There are no research works in Yukaghir linguistics on the comprehensive study of the zoonymic vocabulary of the forest Yukaghirs, which is why this topic was chosen. This study analyzes the word family with a common base чомуо [ chomu ] in the language of Forest Yukaghirs. It demonstrates that this word family comprises a collection of words sharing a common element, interconnected through synchronous derivational relationships.
