A Comparison of Punishment Systems in Denmark and the United States
The Danish prison system is recognized worldwide as a model incorporating the most progressive principles of punishment. This article is the result of the author's research in Denmark undertaken to clarify the foundations of Danish penal philosophies. Diversion and Crime Prevention
The following study was aimed at assessing the impact of juvenile diversion program. A time‐series analysis was wed to examine the hypothesized systems level change for each of the programs. Reported crime levels and arrest rates for targeted offense categories are analyzed for each jurisdiction, and implementation evaluations are discussed in an attempt to clarify the findings
