  • Indian summer monsoon variability and climate-driven weathering since ∼25 ka

Open Access•Nazakat Ali, Sajid Ali et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2026

  • Investigating historical attribution

Open Access•Paulramasamy Morthekai, Malika Singhal et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Environmental…•2025

By 2019, a long brick platform with some structures was exposed when the Thamirabarani River, the southernmost river in the city of Thirunelveli, dried up. The civic society rejoiced at the discovery of the exposed structure as it was thought to be the palace of the first capital city of the Pandya dynasty, an ancient Tamil dynasty of southern India. Two bricks were removed from the structure to determine their ages using the luminescence dating …

  • Geochemistry and stable isotope (δ13C & δ18O) signatures of Calcrete in the Ganga Plains

Open Access•K Prasanna, Sarkar Amrita et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2025

  • Research Study of Saint Poetry Tradition in Nirgun Bhakti Stream

Open Access•Kamlesh Kumar, Shrikant Mishra•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2024

The scholars divided Bhakti literature into four streams- Gyanashrayi, Premashrayi, Ramashrayi and Krishnaashrayi. In this literature, Gyanashrayi stream is also recognized as Sant Kavya stream. Sant Kavya tradition was started by Kabir. Names of many saints are taken in this tradition. Its tradition is an example of the oldest tradition of Bhakti poetry. After taking Guru Diksha from Raghavanand, Ramanand started Ramavat Sampradaya. It is said t…

  • Characterization of biotic and abiotic signatures of modern lake sediments of western India, and its palaeo-environmental implications

Open Access•Anjali Trivedi, Sheikh Nawaz Ali et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2024

  • Presence and implications of petrogenic organic carbon in High Himalayan Crystalline lake sediment

Open Access•Priyanka Singh, Vijayananda Sarangi et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•2024•References: 69

Twelve lacustrine sediment samples from a relict lake in the Kalla Glacier valley were co-dated using AMS radiocarbon ( 14 C) and infrared stimulated luminescence (IRSL) dating methods. In general, the radiocarbon ages of bulk organic matter were older by a minimum of 1500 years compared to (age depth) modeled luminescence ages after fading corrections. This is observed for the first time in the lake sediments of High Himalayan Crystalline zone. …

  • Implications for catchment weathering, provenance, and climatic records from a late Pleistocene to present sedimentary sequence in Gujarat, India

Open Access•Kamlesh Kumar, Anupam Sharma et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary Research•2023

To ascertain weathering, provenance, and paleoclimate of the last ca. 29 ka in mainland Gujarat, western India, a sedimentary profile of ~7.5 m was measured, described, and sampled at Pratappura and a multiproxy analysis was conducted. To determine weathering, silty-sand and sandy-silt facies were analyzed, and log Na 2 O/K 2 O versus log SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 was plotted, which shows clustering in the quartz arenite and sub-litharenite categories, ind…

  • Late Quaternary vegetation shifts and climate change in the sub-alpine belt of the Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh, India

Open Access•Mohan Singh Chauhan, Anupam Sharma et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2022

  • Caves as interim-refugia

Open Access•Amritpal Singh Chaddha, Runcie Paul Mathews et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2021•References: 5

  • Indian summer monsoon variability and vegetation changes in the core monsoon zone, India, during the Holocene

    Open Access•Kamlesh Kumar, Shailesh Agrawal et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2018•References: 6

We present the results of sediment texture, δ 13 C values, TOC, TN, TOC/TN, and magnetic susceptibility (χ lf ) of a 1.54-m deep sediment trench recovered from the core monsoon zone (CMZ) of central India, to understand the paleovegetational history and Indian summer monsoon (ISM) variability during the Holocene. The lower δ 13 C values, TOC/TN ratio, and magnetic susceptibility (χ lf ) from ~11.4 to 9.5 ka BP suggest enhanced ISM intensity, whic…
