  • Environmental Sustainability Practices Based on Green Human Resources Management in Hotel Companies

Open Access•Juan Carlos Aguilar Joyas, Ana Judith Paredes-Chacín et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ecohumanism•2025

Generating value for sustainable development in the glocal order is one of the challenges organizations face. Based on this, environmental sustainability practices are determined as the foundation of green management promoted by human resources in hotel companies in Santiago de Cali-Colombia. Through a descriptive documentary case study with a qualitative approach, a theoretical-normative review of the variables was achieved. For the empirical st…

  • Lipid biomarkers in high mountain lakes from the Cantabrian range (Northern Spain)

    Open Access•José E Ortiz, Yolanda Sánchez-Palencia et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropocene•2024•References: 136

The lipid content of a high mountain lake (Lake Isoba) allowed the reconstruction of the paleoenvironmental changes and anthropic influence in Northern Spain during the last 550 years. Fatty acids (FAs) and n-alkan-2-ones indicate little degradation of OM. Three units were delimited. During Unit A (ca. 1460-1780 CE) high carbon preference index values, predominance of high-molecular-weight saturated FAs, and good correspondence between the predom…

Open Access•Igor Gutiérrez Zugasti, Manuel R González Morales et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeofauna•2014•Cited by: 5•References: 1

The discovery of Paracentrotus lividus remains in archaeological sites is an important source of information that is not always possible to assess due to the difficulty of quantifying the debris and its contribution to the overall study. Recently, several authors have designed systems for the MNI calculation based on the mouthparts of the sea urchin or interspecific identification systems based on the genital tract. This paper presents an MNI cal…
