Étude de trois fragments de sculpture antique de Bavay (Nord)
La construction de la maison médicale de Bavay, dans les années 70, a été l'occasion de la découverte exceptionnelle de trois fragments de statuaire antique en marbre. D'une qualité remarquable, ces marbres font l'objet d'une étude stylistique et physique pour tenter d'en déterminer la nature, la provenance et la chronologie. Cathodoluminescence of White Marbles: An Overview
Identifying the source area of white marbles has long been a problem in archaeology. To address this problem, about 1000 samples from known Classical quarrying areas in Greece, Italy and Turkey were analysed using cathodoluminescence.
