  • Fc-Aen: Fully Convolutional Adaptive Ensemble Network for Automatic Depression Detection

Open Access•Yaowei Wang, Zulong Lin et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2026

Multimodal automatic depression detection (ADD) has garnered significant research interest due to its potential for providing fast, objective, and reliable assessments. Despite advancements in the field, several challenges persist. First, many existing methods employ fixed-size feature modeling, which fails to adapt to temporal variations in depressive emotional expression, resulting in the loss of critical depressive behavior information. Second…

  • Simma: Multimodal Automatic Depression Detection via Spatiotemporal Ensemble and Cross-Modal Alignment

Open Access•Yaowei Wang, Zulong Lin et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2025

Research indicates significant differences in the voice and facial expressions of individuals with depression compared to healthy individuals. Consequently, many studies have begun using audio-visual data for automatic depression detection (ADD). Despite significant progress, numerous challenges remain. During feature extraction, many studies fail to capture crucial spatiotemporal information for depression diagnosis, leading to decreased feature…

  • Dynamic or static? The influence of ingredient image presentation on perceived product efficacy

Hongyan Jiang, Mengting Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2025

  • Sex-dependent association of DNA methylation in the coding region of the corticotropin-releasing hormone gene and schizophrenia spectrum disorder

Open Access•Lili Qing, Peng Xiong et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2023

Differences in CRH methylation were detectable in the peripheral blood of patients with SSD. Epigenetic abnormalities in the CRH gene were closely related to positive symptoms of SSD, suggesting that epigenetic processes may mediate the pathophysiology of SSD

  • Filial piety and meaning in life among late adolescents: A moderated mediation model

Background Current studies on the protective effects of dietary spermidine (SPD) on cardiovascular disease (CVD) are mainly limited to animal studies, and the relationship between dietary SPD and CVD mortality remains inconclusive. Objective This study aims to evaluate the association between dietary SPD intake and CVD and all-cause mortality. Methods A total of 23,894 people enrolled in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANE…

  • Research on patients' willingness to conduct online health consultation from the perspective of web trust model

Open Access•Yongxun Xu, Zishuo Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

Background and aims: The online health platform becomes an important choice for users to receive health services. While bringing convenience to users, it also provides lots of overloaded information for users and leads them to have trouble in making online medical choice decisions. • Emotional or rational? The impact of culturally-derived power on the preference for advertising appeals

Hongyan Jiang, Jing Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2022

The effectiveness of advertising depends to a large extent on the consistency between the consumers’ characteristics and the advertising appeals. Previous studies have neglected the match-up effect between advertising appeals and culturally-derived power, which is considered as one of the key psychological traits. This paper examined the impact of culturally-derived power (i.e., personalized vs. socialized power) on the preference for advertising…

  • Cumulative Ecological Risk and Problem Behaviors Among Adolescents in Secondary Vocational Schools: The Mediating Roles of Core Self-Evaluation and Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction

Open Access•Peizhen Sun, Yudi Sun et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2021

Based on the Cumulative Risk Model, a single risk factor cannot play a decisive role, but the cumulative ecological risks may have complex superposition effects on adolescents' problem behaviors. However, although many studies have investigated the specific influences of single external risk factors on problem behaviors, the effect of cumulative ecological risk on problem behaviors and especially the underlying mechanisms therein have been under-…

Open Access•Peizhen Sun, Yudi Sun et al.•ARTICLE•Asian Journal Of Social Psychology•2020

Gratitude is a crucial element of mental health and wellbeing. But the underlying mechanism by which gratitude is negatively associated with anxiety and depression has been underinvestigated. The current study aimed to examine the associations among gratitude, anxiety, and depression in Chinese adolescents, with a focus on coping flexibility as an individual factor mediating their associations. To do this, 492 middle‐school students in China were…

  • The effect of social exclusion on persuasiveness of feelings versus reasons in advertisements: The moderating role of culture

Hongyan Jiang, Chen Li et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2020

Previous research has suggested that social exclusion could strengthen consumers’ reliance on feelings versus reasons to evaluate a product. This research concentrates on the moderating effect of culture on consumers’ responses to social exclusion. Results show that under individualism (collectivism) culture, social exclusion leads to a greater choice preference for advertisement with superior feelings- (reasons-) based product attributes, compar…
