Impact of municipality-run discount stalls on price formation across the food supply chain
Consequences of a massive refugee influx on firm performance and market structure
Product‐level estimates of exchange rate pass‐through
We estimate the export and import pass‐through rates using product‐level data from Turkey. We find that the Turkish lira (TRY) exchange rate changes are mostly passed on to TRY prices of exports and imports—and, therefore, modestly to their prices in trading partners' currencies. “Who’ll take the chair?” Maternal employment effects of a Polish (pre)school reform

As a significant share of 6-year-old children moved into primary schools a year earlier, their preschool seats effectively became available for you…

Labour market effects of parental leave in Europe
We investigate the aggregate-level effects of parental leave legislation on various labour market outcomes of women in 16 European countries for the period between 1970 and 2010. The paper updates and extends previous findings in the literature. The results show increases in participation rates that diminish with length and generosity of leave schemes. While pure participation numbers may not increase dramatically, there is strong evidence of inc…

We take a slightly different perspective by looking at the impact of child care policies on time allocated to leisure. If there is little time left for leisure after parenting tasks, this would indicate that parents have difficulty combining labour and care. Child care policies may potentially smooth leisure ov…
