  • Unveiling Risk: Marital Deception and HIV Susceptibility Among Married Women in Indonesia

Najmah, Sari Andajani et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Sexual…•2025

Objectives: The Indonesian Ministry of Health reports a significant three-fold increase in newly diagnosed HIV cases among women aged 15 and above, rising from 12,537 cases in 2015 to 35,415 in 2024. Over the past decade, the largest group of new HIV cases in Indonesia has been among women of reproductive age (15-49 years). This paper reports on the work carried out during the 2009 field season of the prehistory sub-theme of the Desert Migrations Project. Robin Means, Pauline Burton et al.•ARTICLE•Policy & Politics•1985•Cited by: 4

The research reported briefly in this article attempted to explore further the relationship between the implementation of social goals in employment policy, the operation of segmentation in the labour market, and the fate of members of so-called ‘ethnic minorities’ in the labour market. Previous research had suggested that social goals in labour market policy were very difficult to defend against the power of economic efficiency criteria, which s…

  • Gazing Up at the Bottoms: Problems of Minimal Response in the Implementation of Manpower Policy

    Open Access•Tom Davies, Charles Mason•ARTICLE•European Journal of Political…•1982•Cited by: 5•References: 6

The paper discusses the implementation of manpower policy as viewed from below, and is a partial critique of ‘bottom‐up approaches’ to implementation studies. It reports on a Social Science Research Council financed study at the School of Advanced Urban Studies which employed both bottom‐up and top‐down methods, and explored the hypothesis that the nature of the employment problem tackled by policy affected implementation. Restructuring policy wo…
