Social relationships and postpartum depression in South Asia
Each Hour Redeem
Daylanne K. English’s latest work Each Hour Redeem: Time and Justice in African American Literature embraces the ambitious project of being “the first to explore how time, in both philosophical and material senses, has been treated throughout the African American literary tradition as a fundamental aspect of literary form, of daily experience, and of U.S. citizenship” (2-3). This article explores power relationships in tourism to identify reasons…
Somatotype and angiographically determined atherosclerotic coronary artery disease in men
The relationship between somatotype and somatotype components with coronary artery disease (CAD) and regional adiposity was considered in 58 males (age 60.2 +/- 9.4 years) undergoing investigative coronary angiography for suspected atherosclerotic CAD. Severity of CAD was determined in terms of both the degree of stenosis and the anatomical position of the lesions on the coronary arteries (myocardial score). Six patients had negative angiographic…
Intake of dietary fibre and the age of menarche
The relationship between menarchial age and estimated dietary fibre intake in 46 countries/communities was examined. There was a highly significant positive correlation (r = 0.84) between dietary fibre (g/1000 k calories nutrient energy) and menarcheal age. The nutritional and physiological significance of this relationship is discussed
