Sexual Orientation and Risk of Pregnancy Among New York City High-School Students

Health Communication Practices Among Parents and Sexual Minority Youth
Positive perceptions of parent–child communication can influence behavioral outcomes such as sexual behavior and substance use among young people. Parent–child communication has been effective in modifying adverse health outcomes among heterosexual youth; however, limited research has examined the perceptions of parent–child communication among sexual minority youth, specifically African American young men who have sex with men (AAYMSM). Understa…

STDs Among Sexually Active Female College Students
Sexual health programs targeting female college students, regardless of sexual orientation, must focus on behavioral risks associated with STDs. Further research is needed on risk-taking among female college students who are sexually active with both sexes
A Case-Control Analysis of Felony Convictions among Recreational Drug Users
This study applied an epidemiologic case-control design to the identification of variables predicting which subjects in a population of recreational drug users were likely to have a felony conviction. In this sample of 704 U.S. citizens who reported using illicit drugs, 79 (11.2%) reported having a drug-related felony convi…
