  • Inequity in access to digital public primary healthcare in Sweden

Open Access•Jon Eriksson, Susanna Calling et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal for Equity…•2024

Geographical differences based on urbanicity do not seem to affect the utilization of PHC Online. Further studies are needed to clarify a possible association to geographical barriers in access to primary healthcare, specifically accounting for factors associated with urbanicity and distance to physical clinics, and how age and sex affect such an association. Lower utilization of PHC Online in low socioeconomic status and high morbidity populatio…

  • Archiving Archaeological Data

Open Access•Tim Evans, Hella Hollander et al.•ARTICLE•Internet Archaeology•2023

The workflows examined are representative of operational workflows around data assessment and data removal that are common to all data repositories, as well as specific strategies of dealing with Microsoft Access Databases, a commonly deposited file format used by archaeologists for assessment and analysis. The paper will present each workflow as a succinct case study with an emphasis on why the decisions have been made to follow a certain method…

  • Digital Archiving in Archaeology

    Open Access•Julian Richards, Ulf Jakobsson et al.•ARTICLE•Internet Archaeology•2021•Cited by: 11•References: 1

The articles in this special issue demonstrate significant differences in digital archiving capacity in different countries. In part these reflect differences in the history of archaeology in each country, its relationship to the state, whether it is centralised or decentralised, state-led or commercially driven. They also reflect some of the different attitudes to archaeology across the world, most recently explored in a survey conducted under t…

  • Digital Archaeological Archiving in Sweden

    Open Access•Ulf Jakobsson•ARTICLE•Internet Archaeology•2021

In the past, data from archaeological investigations, as well as research projects led by universities have not been archived or made publicly accessible. Synthetic publications such as papers, reports and articles have been available, but not the underlying data files containing the original data to be reused or combined with new/other datasets for further research. Archaeological investigations are regulated within Sweden, but it has only recen…

  • An International Actor Under Pressure

    Open Access•Ulf Jakobsson•ARTICLE•JCMS Journal of Common Market…•2009•Cited by: 6•References: 11

This article examines empirically whether Iraq and the fifth enlargement affected EU voting cohesion at the UN General Assembly 2000–05. It poses the question of whether the entrants' willingness to co‐operate might have ameliorated the expected adverse effects of Iraq and an increase in the number of new members

The aim was to investigate healthcare consumption in men and women aged 65 and above in the two years preceding decision about long-term municipal care at home or in special accommodation and to investigate determinants for healthcare consumption. The study comprised 362 people (aged 65 or over), all subject to a decision about municipal care and/or services during 2002-2003, drawn from the Swedish National Study on Aging and Care (SNAC). Data we…

  • Older people in Sweden with various degrees of present quality of life

Open Access•Gunilla Borglin, Ulf Jakobsson et al.•ARTICLE•Health & Social Care in the…•2006•Cited by: 8•References: 5

Public health policies in most European countries are concerned with how to keep older people living independently with a qualitatively good life in the community as long as possible. However, knowledge about what may characterise those seemingly 'healthy' older people is sparse. The aim of the study was to investigate the characteristics of a sample of people (75+) reporting various degrees of Quality of Life (QoL) with respect to QoL in differe…

  • The Transformation of Ownership Policy and Structure in Sweden

    Magnus Henrekson, Ulf Jakobsson•ARTICLE•New Political Economy•2003•Cited by: 2•References: 8

We investigate the dramatic transformation of ownership policies and ownership structure in Sweden during the postwar period. After WWII, Swedish ownership policies were guided by a socialist vision where the ultimate goal was abolition of private ownership. These policies came to an end in the early 1980s. Since then a large number of Swedish firms have been acquired by foreign owners or merged with foreign firms and the foreign ownership share …
