Open Access•Einar Aasen Tryti, T Hansen et al.•ARTICLE•Critical Public Health•2026

We assessed hazard of autism spectrum disorder among Norwegian-born preschool children with immigrant parents, categorized by human development index in maternal country of birth, relative to children with Norwegian-born parents. • Trends in the health status of Ukrainian refugees in Norway according to month of arrival during 2022

Open Access•Angela S Labberton, Larisa Ozeryansky et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Respondents who arrived later in 2022 generally reported poorer long-term health, but less psychological distress than those who arrived earlier in the year. These findings may help inform the planning of health services for refugees from Ukraine, especially in areas receiving large numbers of refugees

  • Time trade-off with someone to live for

Open Access•T Hansen, Knut Stavem et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2021

Having significant others, or the lack of having significant others, was associated with respondents' valuation of hypothetical health states using TTO, more so than traditional sampling variables such as age and sex. Inadequate representativeness in terms of having significant others could bias health state preference values in valuation studies

  • Norwegian population norms for the EQ-5D-5L

Open Access•Andrew Garratt, T Hansen et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2021

The population norms will improve interpretation of EQ-5D-5L and EQ VAS scores in Norwegian applications including clinical practice, clinical and health services research, and national quality registers where EQ-5D-5L is the most widely used patient-reported instrument

    Per Pippin Aspaas, T Hansen et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Borealia•2012•Cited by: 1•References: 3

The Societas Meteorologica Palatina, or Meteorological Society of Mannheim, was set up in 1781 to coordinate observations of the weather on an international scale. In addition to temperature, pressure and humidity, observers connected to the network were instructed to record various atmospheric phenomena, among these the aurora borealis. The 39 stations of the network reported about 1400 individual sightings of auroras during the Society's dozen …

    T Hansen, Jan Erling Klausen•ARTICLE•Local Government Studies•2002•Cited by: 18•References: 3

Upon what objectives and ideological considerations have the Norwegian parliament developed its policies vis-à-vis local government during the second half of the twentieth century? Have the reforms and decisions made in parliament contributed to increased central control of local policy-making, or have local political authorities been given more powers and autonomy in deciding on local affairs? To what extent have ideological differences between …

  • The Positive Correlation Between Personal Need for Structure and the Mere Exposure Effect

    Open Access•T Hansen, Robert A Bartsch•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•2001

It was predicted that the amount a person is affected by mere exposure would be positively correlated with their Personal Need for Structure (PNS). Forty participants rated unfamiliar Turkish words for pleasantness. As predicted by the mere exposure effect, the greater the participants' exposure, the more pleasant the words were rated. Participants were also asked to complete a PNS questionnaire. Individual PNS scores correlated with individual m…
