  • Synergizing Retrieval and CoT Reasoning via Spatial Consensus for Worldwide Visual Geo-Localization

Open Access•Yong Tang, Jianhua Gong et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2026

Worldwide visual geo-localization aims to predict the geographic coordinates of an image capture location from visual content alone, posing unique challenges due to the vast scale of the Earth’s surface and pervasive visual ambiguity across distant regions. Existing approaches face distinct limitations as follows: retrieval-based methods demand massive geo-tagged databases and scale poorly; alignment-based models lack interpretability and are vul…

  • Mapping urban villages based on point-of-interest data and a deep learning approach

Open Access•Ting Li, Quanlong Feng et al.•ARTICLE•Cities•2024

  • Social visual preference mediates the effect of cortical thickness on symptom severity in children with autism spectrum disorder

Open Access•Jierong Chen, Zhen Wei et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

These findings offer initial evidence that atypical neuroanatomical alterations may not only result in direct effects on symptom severity but also lead to indirect effects on symptom severity through social visual preference. This finding enhances our understanding of the multiple neural mechanisms implicated in ASD

  • A Chess and Card Room-Induced Covid-19 Outbreak and Its Agent-Based Simulation in Yangzhou, China

Open Access•Shijing Shen, Shi-Jing Shen et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

Objective: To evaluate epidemiological characteristics of the COVID-19 outbreak that resurged in Yangzhou and to simulate the impact of different control measures at different regional scales. Methods: We collected personal information from 570 laboratory-confirmed cases in Yangzhou from 28 July to 26 August 2021, and built a modified susceptible-exposed-infected-removed (SEIR) model and an agent-based model. Results: The SEIR model showed that f…

  • Hdrlm3d

Open Access•Dong Zhang, Wenhang Li et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2022

At present, a common drawback of crowd simulation models is that they are mainly simulated in (abstract) 2D environments, which limits the simulation of crowd behaviors observed in real 3D environments. Therefore, we propose a deep reinforcement learning-based model with human-like perceptron and policy for crowd evacuation in 3D environments (HDRLM3D). In HDRLM3D, we propose a vision-like ray perceptron (VLRP) and combine it with a redesigned gl…

  • Empathy, Theory of Mind, and Prosocial Behaviors in Autistic Children

Open Access•Xin Wang, Bonnie Auyeung et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2022

Autistic children showed less pro-sociality and ToM ability than TD children. In autistic children, empathic trait was associated with parent-reported prosocial behaviors while their ToM ability was associated with prosocial behaviors in experimental condition. Our findings indicated that better ToM ability and empathic trait might promote prosocial behaviors in autistic children

  • The Analysis of Patterns of Two Covid-19 Outbreak Clusters in China

Open Access•Wenning Li, Bisong Hu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Since the emergence of COVID-19, there have been many local outbreaks with foci at shopping malls in China. We compared and analyzed the epidemiological and spatiotemporal characteristics of local COVID-19 outbreaks in two commercial locations, a department store building (DSB) in Baodi District, Tianjin, and the Xinfadi wholesale market (XFD) in Fengtai District, Beijing. The spread of the infection at different times was analyzed by the standar…

  • A Perception Model for Optimizing and Evaluating Evacuation Guidance Systems

Open Access•Lin Huang, Jianhua Gong et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2021

To overcome the difficulties of quantitatively optimizing and evaluating evacuation guidance systems, we proposed a perception model based on virtual reality (VR) experiments and the social force model (SFM). We used VR and eye tracking devices to carry out experiments. The VR experiment data was mainly used for three purposes: to determine the parameter values of the perception model, to optimize the evacuation guidance system by quantitative an…

  • Analyzing the Influence of Urban Street Greening and Street Buildings on Summertime Air Pollution Based on Street View Image Data

Open Access•Dong Wu, Bisong Hu et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2020

Transport emissions and street dust are important sources of summertime air pollution in urban centers. Street greening and buildings have an influence on the diffusion of air pollution from streets. For field measurements, many studies have analyzed the effect of street green space arrangement on the diffusion of air pollution, but these studies have neglected the patterns at the landscape scale. Other studies have analyzed the effects of the la…

  • Urban Green Plastic Cover Mapping Based on VHR Remote Sensing Images and a Deep Semi-Supervised Learning Framework

Open Access•Jiantao Liu, Quanlong Feng et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2020

With the rapid process of both urban sprawl and urban renewal, large numbers of old buildings have been demolished in China, leading to wide spread construction sites, which could cause severe dust contamination. To alleviate the accompanied dust pollution, green plastic mulch has been widely used by local governments of China. Therefore, timely and accurate mapping of urban green plastic covered regions is of great significance to both urban env…

  • A Spatial, Social and Environmental Study of Tuberculosis in China Using Statistical and GIS Technology

Open Access•Wenyi Sun, Bisong Hu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2015

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem in China, and its incidence shows certain regional disparities. Systematic investigations of the social and environmental factors influencing TB are necessary for the prevention and control of the disease. Data on cases were obtained from the Chinese Center for Disease and Prevention. Social and environmental variables were tabulated to investigate the latent factor structure of the data usi…

  • Three-dimensional Reconstruction of the Yaolin Cave

Jianhua Gong, Hui Wen Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Cartography and Geographic…•2000

This paper reports on three-dimensional reconstruction of the Yaolin Cave in the Karst Region of Zhejiang, China. An object-oriented method was used to represent two cave classes—the class Boundary and the class Inside. The class Boundary included objects of the cave ceiling and the cave floor which are part of the topographical trend of the cave. This trend was determined by integrating topography with landform using TIN modeling. The inside of …
