  • Environmental and Traffic Factors Associated with Perceived Urban Stress

Quang Hoai Le, Nguyen Ngoc Han Dinh et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2026

  • Estimating Future Urban Heat Island Effect Based on Shared Socioeconomic Pathway Scenario

Open Access•Ismail Robbani, Suwhan Yee et al.•ARTICLE•Urban Science•2026

Urban Heat Islands (UHIs) intensify extreme heat, raise energy demand, and risk citizen thermal comfort in densely built cities. However, spatially detailed, scenario-differentiated estimates of future UHI intensity are still limited for complex coastal mountainous cities. This study set out to forecast UHI intensity variations in Busan, South Korea, under SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios. Daily temperatures from 19 automatic weather stations (201…

  • AutoDefect

Open Access•Donguk Yang, Byeol Kim et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2022

  • Development of an integrated fatigue measurement system for construction workers

Open Access•Sojeong Seong, Soyeon Park et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2022

This feasibility study provides a unique understanding of the applications of EMA and smartwatches for safety management in the construction workforce. The developed measurement system shows potential for monitoring fatigue based on the real-time collection of relevant data. It is expected that by expanding this integrated system through further research and onsite application, the health and safety of construction workers can be improved

  • Factors associated with different levels of daytime sleepiness among Korean construction drivers

Open Access•Yonghan Ahn, Yong Han Ahn et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2021

A significant number of construction drivers experience excessive daytime sleepiness; thus it is important to reduce the negative impact of driving fatigue and other factors on daytime sleepiness. Our study findings suggest that occupational health care providers should pay attention to development and implementation of health management interventions to reduce driving fatigue that incorporate the drivers' physical, mental, and occupational facto…

  • The development of an energy-efficient remodeling framework in South Korea

    Keonho Lee, Keon-Ho Lee et al.•References: 19

  • Scalable transfer learning framework for capturing human perceptions of place through visual-aural data integration

Quang Hoai Le, Ngan T T Dinh et al.•References: 3
