Remediation of Cadmium‐Contaminated Paddy Soils by Phosphorite Magnetic Biochar: A New Insight Into Soil Microbial Responses
Cadmium (Cd)‐contaminated rice paddies have been a primary environmental concern worldwide. Biochar or modified biochar application favors reducing Cd availability in paddy soil, which has been demonstrated in physical and chemical terms. However, we know little about soil microbial responses after biochar application. In this study, we revealed the immobilization effect and mechanism of Cd in paddy fields by a novel phosphorite magnetic biochar …

Who wears Hanfu clothing when they travel? Experience-based cultural tourism market segmentation – the case of Xi'an, China
The Han culture is the Chinese national culture as well as a significant part of the world's costuming heritage. However, Han clothes (Hanfu) are little known outside of China. This research selected Xi'an, a famous historical city, as the case to collect data using the survey questionnaire method. Factor analysis explored the variables involved in the cultural tourism experiences of wearing Hanfu clothing. Two-step clustering was used to prepare…
Effects of rapeseed residue organic fertilizer on cadmium toxicity in soil and its uptake and transfer by rice plants ( Oryza sativa L.)
Cadmium (Cd) contamination of rice fields is a global agro‐environmental issue. Rapeseed (canola) residue organic fertilizer (RROF) as a potential strategy to minimize Cd accumulation in rice planted in acidic soil. The results showed that application of 7.5–30.0 g kg −1 RROF increased the soil pH value by 0.01–0.55 units, increased soil organic matter (OM) by 7.8–25.0%, increased soil microbial biomass carbon (MBC) and nitrogen (MBN) by 0.0–89.7…
Perception, Reaction, and Future Development of the Influence of Covid-19 on the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in China
The present study examined the perception, reaction (i.e., possible measures), and future development from the perspectives of hotel and tourism practitioners and experts to investigate the influence of coronavirus disease 2019 (i.e., COVID-19) on the hospitality and tourism industry in China. After conducting 58 in-depth interviews among hotel and tourism practitioners and experts, feasible and practical measures were proposed to reduce such inf…
