  • Financial literacy and community development: Exploring urban-rural gaps in the United States

Open Access•Mckenzie Boyce, Ayoung Kim et al.•ARTICLE•Community Development•2026

  • Ischemic heart disease mortality due to fine particulate matter in Seoul between 2016 and 2020

    Open Access•Jongmin Oh, Myung‐Sook Park et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

Our study assessed the burden of IHD mortality attributable to ambient PM 2.5 and the potential health benefits associated with its reduction in Seoul between 2016 and 2020. The findings suggest that continued efforts to reduce PM 2.5 concentrations could significantly mitigate IHD mortality, particularly in the context of an aging population

  • Long-term exposure to PM2.5 and mortality in a national cohort in South Korea: Effect modification by community deprivation, medical infrastructure, and greenness

Open Access•Garam Byun, Sera Kim et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Our study found mortality effects of long-term PM 2.5 exposure and underlined the role of community-level factors in modifying these association. These findings highlight the importance of considering socio-environmental contexts in the design of air quality policies to reduce health disparities and enhance overall public health outcomes

  • Short-term exposure to outdoor nitrogen dioxide and respiratory mortality, with high-risk populations: A nationwide time-stratified case-crossover study

Open Access•Hyewon Yun, Seoyeong Ahn et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Numerous existing studies reported the negative impacts of outdoor nitrogen dioxide (NO 2 ) on respiratory mortality. However, the evidence of related high-risk populations was considerably limited, especially associated with ages, causes of death, and district-level characteristics. In addition, most earlier studies were based on monitored areas, thus previous risk estimates of NO 2 could be biased to provide nationwide risk estimates and high-r…

  • Partition actions on forestland owned as heir property and the determinants of court decisions

Open Access•Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Mahesh Tiwari et al.•ARTICLE•Forest Policy and Economics•2024•References: 2
