A 2,200-Year Logboat Sequence (700 BCE–1500 CE) from the Northern Red River Delta, Vietnam
Residents’ adaptive marine plastic litter management in Galang Island, Indonesia: An importance-performance analysis
Evaluation of tourist importance-performance for supporting adaptive marine conservation programs through marine natural capital
Citizen low-carbon choices through zero carbon lifestyle frameworks
This study explores the diversity of urban residents' preferences for low-carbon lifestyle choices in Jakarta through a comprehensive choice experiment. The population is categorized into three distinct groups: proactive green consumers, green e-verifycators, and traditionalists, identified using Latent Class Model (LCM) segmentation. The analysis reveals significant variations in Marginal Willingness to Participate (MWTP), defined as the additio…
Green-blue workforce readiness for mangrove conservation: Community competency clusters and participatory drivers in Indonesia
Determinants of locals’ willingness to participate in human–elephant conflict management: Evidence from Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve, Vietnam
Human-elephant conflict (HEC) poses a significant threat to the conservation of Asian elephants (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758) and the well-being of local communities in the tropical forests of Asia. As local communities play a crucial role in HEC reduction, their engagement is essential for the success and sustainability of HEC management strategies. This study employs exploratory factor analysis and a logistic regression model to examine the …
Evaluating citizens’ willingness to participate in hypothetical scenarios towards sustainable plastic waste management
Ancient Boats, Boat Timbers, and Locked Mortise‐and‐Tenon Joints from Bronze/Iron‐Age Northern Vietnam
This paper describes two nautical discoveries buried c.2000 years ago in the Red River alluvial plain, northern Vietnam. One is part of a logboat with a series of empty mortise and locking-peg holes for plank attachment using loose rectangular tenons. The other, from an infant mortuary house, is a series of re-used 4-m-long timbers with exactly the same locked mortise-and-tenon technology. Both finds are interpreted as having belonged to river-bo…
