  • A Delphi consensus among experts on assessment and treatment of disruptive mood dysregulation disorder

    Open Access•Assia Boudjerida, Jean-Marc Guilé et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2024

This study presents recommendations that reached a certain degree of consensus among researchers and clinicians regarding the assessment and treatment of youths with DMDD. These findings may be useful to clinicians working with this population and to researchers since they also highlight non-consensual areas that need to be further investigated

  • Hard-to-treat or hard-to-catch? Clinical features and therapeutic outcomes of help-seeking foster care youths with mood disorders

Open Access•Xavier Benarous, Hélène Lahaye et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

These findings support the view that, when provided with dedicated support, fostered inpatient youths can improve in a range comparable to other inpatients. Undetected neurodevelopmental disorders and academic problems are likely important contributors of the burden of mood disorders in these youths

  • Development and Initial Validation of the Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder Questionnaire Among Adolescents From Clinic Settings

Open Access•Assia Boudjerida, Réal Labelle et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2022

The reliability and concurrent validity indices suggest that the questionnaire as a decision-support tool may be used with adolescents in clinical settings. It highlights that the DSM-5 DMDD criteria seem associated with depressive symptoms and borderline personality traits. Finally, future studies will be necessary to establish more robust calculations in relation to the validity and reliability of this questionnaire

Geoffrey Gauvin, Réal Labelle et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Social Distress and…•2021

Life satisfaction among homeless youth is particularly low, yet remains a poorly investigated phenomenon. This study aims to explore three positive psychological factors related to homeless youth’s life satisfaction: self-esteem, coping strategies, and social support. Seventy-four homeless adolescents from eight different shelters in Quebec (Canada) were interviewed to fill out self-report questionnaires. Multiple regression analysis revealed tha…

Despite the growing public concern in recent years about the place of women in business, gender diversity in corporate governance has made little progress.
