  • Non-destructive method of archaeological obsidian provenance analysis using EDXRF: A case study of obsidian in Hokkaido, Northern Japan

Open Access•Yoshimitsu Suda, Kazutaka Shimada et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2025

  • Of the sea and volcano: A petrographic provenance investigation of locally produced and imported ware of Pre-Younger Dryas Tanegashima Island, Japan

    Open Access•Fumie Iizuka, Masami Izuho et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2020•References: 19

  • Global Analysis of Transcriptional Expression in Mice Exposed to Intermediate Frequency Magnetic Fields Utilized for Wireless Power Transfer Systems

Open Access•S Ohtani, Akira Ushiyama et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2019

To our knowledge, this is the first in vivo study to evaluate the biological effects of IF-MF exposure with an intense magnetic flux density 253 times higher than the occupational restriction level defined by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection guidelines. However, our findings indicate that transcriptional responses in the living body are not affected under these conditions

  • Vegetation history and the impact of tephra deposition during 7000 years based on pollen and tephra analysis of a Barasantou Bog sediment core, eastern Hokkaido, northern Japan

Open Access•Toshiyuki Fujiki, Keiji Wada et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2019

  • Vegetation Changes around Haven Lake, Adak Island, Central Aleutians, Alaska, Determined from Pollen Analysis

Open Access•Makoto Noguchi, Toshiyuki Fujiki et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•2018•References: 13

We collected peat sediments (sediment core ADK13083002) from Haven Lake on the north side of Adak Island (central Aleutian Islands, Alaska) to determine whether the vegetation has changed. We confirmed the presence of six tephra layers, including Forty Years (0.3 cal ka BP), T2, YBO (3.3 cal ka BP), Intermediate (6.4 cal ka BP), Main (9.5 cal ka BP), and T6. We identified four major pollen assemblage zones (HL-1 to HL-4, in descending order) in t…

  • Inter-laboratory validation of the WDXRF, EDXRF, ICP–MS, NAA and PGAA analytical techniques and geochemical characterisation of obsidian sources in northeast Hokkaido Island, Japan

    Open Access•Yoshimitsu Suda, A V Grebennikov et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2017•References: 9
