  • Affective boundaries

    Donghun Kim, H Jang et al.•ARTICLE•New Community•2026

In 2024, the Seoul Metropolitan Government launched the Foreign Housekeeping Managers Pilot Project, employing Filipino domestic workers to address care labour shortages amid low fertility and aging. As Korea's first formal institutionalisation of migrant care work, it offers a rare chance to observe how public commenters on Naver, the country's dominant news portal, interpret and contest this change. Using a mixed-methods computational approach …

  • Stalking Discourse on Reddit

Open Access•H Jang, AKM Monwarul Islam et al.•ARTICLE•Cyberpsychology Behavior and…•2024

  • Coercive Assets? Foreign Direct Investment and the Use of Economic Sanctions

    Dong-Hun Kim, Donghun Kim•ARTICLE•International Interactions•2012•Cited by: 5•References: 21

How does foreign direct investment (FDI) affect the use of economic coercion? This article argues that while FDI matters, the effect depends on the entry mode of the FDI. The economic interdependence created by FDI does not have a monotonic effect on economic statecraft because the relative costs incurred by economic disruption differ depending on the forms of foreign investment. In particular, the FDI that creates wholly-owned subsidiaries (for …

This literature is applied to corporate alliances, predicting the probability that announced alliance contracts will be completed by the participants. The authors find that democratic political regimes generate …
