Consolidation of Banks and Its Impact on Minority-Income Dynamics
A study on the collective dominance concept and its application in the Indian radio-taxi market
The radio-taxi market is a market where customers through internet facilities can book a taxi to reach their desirable destiny within a reasonable price charged by the aggregator. By using the internet platform, the aggregator enterprises have engaged several taxi owners and drivers and the enterprises are providing these e-taxi services to the consumers. The competition commission, dealt with information alleging anti-competitive-agreement and a…

Survival, Continuity and Identity Among the Onge of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
The hunter-gatherer tribes of Andaman and Nicobar Islands with negrito physical features had drawn attention of researchers and administrators because of their unique bio-cultural identity and their migration to the present habitat. Until 1950s, the Onge were sparsely distributed and exploited natural biotic resources of whole Little Andaman Island. Population decrease among them was the major factor for resettlement of this tribe at Dugong creek…

What is the extent of exchange rate pass-through in Singapore? Has it changed over time
This paper estimates the extent and evolution of exchange rate pass-through into import prices in Singapore for the period 1980 to 2005. Our results indicate that exchange rate pass-through into Singapore's import prices is 25% in the short-run and slightly higher at 29% for the long-run. There is evidence to suggest that the pass-through elasticity has trended downwards from 0.4 in 1983 to around 0.3 by 1987, after which it has remained fairly s…

Anoxic pilot plant studies for biological hydrolysis of urea in nitrogeneous fertilizer wastewater using a continuous flow stirred tank reactor
A continuous stirred tank system was used for pilot plant studies under anoxic biological conditions for biological hydrolysis of urea. It has been found that nearly all urea can be hydrolysed at a loading rate of 1.8 kg urea/kgMLSS x d which corresponds to 0.12 kg NH3‐N/kgMLSS x d. The application of air stripping technique for removal of secondary treated effluent removed ammonia which is generated during hydrolysis of urea within the prescribe…
