Scale Validation of Career Crafting in the Chinese Context and Its Impact on Individuals' Learned Helplessness: The Mediating Role of Resilience and the Moderating Role of Gender
Against the backdrop of an increasingly complex career development environment, growing career mobility brings both opportunities and challenges to individuals' career advancement: although it expands possibilities for pursuing ideal career paths, it also exacerbates career insecurity and triggers negative psychological states such as learned helplessness. More notably, women also face multiple barriers stemming from societal expectations and wor…
Exploring the representation of the nature of science across disciplines: A content analysis of science curriculum standards in biology, chemistry, geography and physics
The significance of the Nature of Science (NOS) in cultivating scientific literacy is well-recognised in science education research. Integrating NOS elements comprehensively and balancedly into science curriculum standards is crucial for effective NOS education. This investigation employed the Family Resemblance Approach (FRA) analytical framework to conduct a systematic content analysis of China's national curriculum standards for four STEM disc…
Crafting a Bright Future: Exploring How and When Public Service Motivation Leads to Civil Servants’ Subjective Career Success
Although extensive research has examined the relationship between public service motivation and job-related outcomes among civil servants, limited attention has been paid to its career-related consequences. Drawing on the model of proactive motivation, this study investigates how and when public service motivation fosters civil servants’ subjective career success. Through a two-wave questionnaire survey of 270 civil servants from China, the findi…
Fit or commitment? A meta-analytic investigation of the relationship and mediating mechanisms between public service motivation and turnover intention
The literature has produced inconsistent findings on the effects of public service motivation (PSM) on employees’ turnover intention. To address this issue, we carried out a meta-analysis to examine this relationship across employment sectors and administrative traditions, synthesizing findings from 52 independent samples with pooled sample sizes N = 80,486. In addition, we conducted a meta-analytic structural equation modelling to further examin…

Schisandrin B from Schisandra chinensis alleviated pain via glycine receptors, Nav1.7 channels and Cav2.2 channels
Observations and emission constraints of trichlorofluoromethane (CFC-11) in southeastern China: First-year results from a new Agage station
The recovery of the ozone layer relies on decreasing atmospheric mixing ratios of ozone-depleting substances (ODSs), including chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). A significant decline in the mixing ratio of trichlorofluoromethane (CFC-11 or CCl 3 F ), the second most abundant CFC, has been observed since the mid-1990s. However, a slowdown in the decline after 2012 indicates a rise in emissions, particularly in Eastern Asia. Ground-based observations are…
Leader empowering and upper echelons decision‐making: How and when does top managers' empowering leadership promote decision‐making speed and comprehensiveness in public organizations
The efficiency of decision‐making in public organizations is a key area of interest for public administration scholars. Drawing on upper echelons theory, this study examines how top managers' empowering leadership affects decision‐making speed and comprehensiveness in public organizations. Through a three‐wave questionnaire survey involving 1149 TMT members from 133 public organizations in China, we tested the proposed theoretical model and hypot…

The Impact of Employee Career Adaptability: Multilevel Analysis
Cultural Integration and Education of the Naxi

Naxi Students' National Identity Construction and Schooling: A Case Study of Lijiang No.1 Senior Secondary School
Students in China are encouraged to commit themselves to China's social, economic and political development. Naxi students reflect rationally about the relationship between the nation and their ethnic group. They accept the Han culture and ethnic unity that are promoted by the school but also assert their own national identity.
