A context-aware approach to construct driving cycles in a volatile urban environment
Impact of the car fleet evolution on electricity demand in Québec
Going the distance
Transport and gender are intrinsically intertwined. However, traditionally, transport planning has tended to favor the travel needs of adult men in home-work trajectories, thereby ignoring women's distinct experiences and needs. More recently, scholars have looked at the relationship between transport and gender, highlighting important discrepancies in travel behavior (e.g., mode, purpose, time of trip). Yet, thorough spatial analysis, especially…
Latent stage model for carsharing usage frequency estimation with Montréal case study
Probabilistic model for destination inference and travel pattern mining from smart card data
Transit network design using a genetic algorithm with integrated road network and disaggregated O–D demand data
Modeling bike-sharing demand using a regression model with spatially varying coefficients
Smart card data use in public transit
Economic Assessment of Rural District Heating by Bio-Steam Supplied by a Paper Mill in Canada
The article investigates the feasibility of district heating in a small town adjacent to a Kraft pulp mill in eastern Canada. A detailed heat demand analysis is performed for all buildings using a geographical information system and archived data provided by the municipality. The study shows that the entire space heating requirement of the town can be supplied by steam from the mill, even during exceptional peak demands. A screening test based on…
