  • Comprehensive Medical Support in Complex Emergencies (CMSCE)

Open Access•John Quinn, Trisha Jigar et al.•ARTICLE•Globalization and Health•2022

Global threats to health and health security are growing. Fragile and failed states, armed groups, ungoverned spaces, outbreaks and potential unknown “Disease X” threats, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), hybrid and gray zone conflict all exacerbate complex medical emergencies. • Using confirmatory factor analysis to validate the Chamberlin affective instrument for mathematical problem solving with academically advanced students

    Open Access•Scott A Chamberlin, Alan Moore et al.•ARTICLE•British Journal of Educational…•2017•References: 24

BACKGROUND: Student affect plays a considerable role in mathematical problem solving performance, yet is rarely formally assessed. In this manuscript, an instrument and its properties are discussed to enable educational psychologists the opportunity to assess student affect. AIMS: The study was conducted to norm the CAIMPS (instrument) with gifted students. In so doing, educational psychologists are informed of the process and the instrument's pr…

  • The Effects of Ceiling Rules on the Internal Consistency Reliability of a Mathematics Achievement Test

Open Access•Michael Wilson, Michael D Wilson et al.•ARTICLE•Educational and Psychological…•1988

This study compared the estimates of reliability made using one, two, three, four, five, and unlimited consecutive failures as ceiling rules in scoring a mathematics achievement test. The total score for each individual became the sum of the correct responses prior to the point described by the ceiling rule. The results of this study indicated that the estimate of reliability using two, three, four, and five consecutive failures as the ceiling ru…

  • Factorial Invariance of the Behavioral Dimensions Rating Scale

    M J Wilson, Alan Moore et al.•ARTICLE•Measurement and Evaluation in…•1987•References: 1

The Behavioral Dimensions Rating Scale was administered to both emotionally disturbed and normal students. The factor structure was found, using confirmatory factor analysis, to be invariant over these groups
