Decision Support Indicators (DSIs) and their role in hydrological planning
Decision Support Indicators (DSIs) are metrics designed to inform local and regional stakeholders about the characteristics of a predicted (or ongoing) event to facilitate decision-making. Preterm Birth Prevention in Appalachia
Purpose: This perspective piece reflects off previously published qualitative work to explore (1) themes surrounding equitable prenatal care in Appalachia and (2) strategies to restructure care delivery in a population with disparate rates of preterm birth (PTB). Methods: This study reflects in-depth interviews with 22 Appalachian women who experienced PTB and 14 obstetric providers. Results: Our findings underscore the need for greater cultural …

Saga characters often exercised the option of fostering their children. This meant that a portion of the responsibilities of parenthood were delegated to people who were not the child's biological parents.
