  • Organising for the end

    Open Access•Elke Weik, Ronald Hartz•ARTICLE•Learning and Teaching•2026

We theorise and illustrate the deinstitutionalisation process that universities are currently undergoing. Using the analytical background of governmentality studies, the concept of ‘normalism’ and critical discourse analysis, I reconstruct and discuss four distinguishable phases of the discourse. Against the backdrop o…

    Open Access•Ronald Hartz, Thomas Steger•ARTICLE•Organization•2010

Drawing on data from recent media discourse about corporate governance in Germany, this article primarily seeks to explore the changing nature of narratives in the mass media about both organizations and their managers. Based on Greimas’ narrative approach and his adaptation of Propp’s morphology of the folktale, the article reconstructs two different narratives of corporate governance and the transformation process between them. To improve our u…

  • Die sprachliche Inszenierung von Konsens in Organisationen

    Open Access•Ronald Hartz•CHAPTER•Einigkeitsdiskurse•2009
